After the Romans, the visigoths, arabs that filled our land with the smell of jasmine, before the reconquering which brought with it the building of many castles, some of them built over mosques, fortresses that protected the city and cities that began to grow.

From that era until today, Alentejo, Portugal has continued to grow based on it´s agriculture, livestock, fishing, and cork industry.
